Kent & Kristin England
Kent and Kristin England met in graduate school at the University of Houston in 1986. Kristin had moved to Houston the year before from Colorado and Kent had moved from Austin to attend graduate school. They are both geophysicists and have worked in the oil industry in a variety of E&P assignments throughout their careers. Kristin worked for Amoco and BP for 22 years prior to retiring in 2010. Kent continues to work for Marathon Oil. While they have lived in Houston since they met, they have both gotten to travel extensively across the world with their work.
In the mid 1990’s, Kent and Kristin lived in the same NW Houston subdivision as Paul where they got to know him socially. The three of them began meeting occasionally to discuss financial planning. Paul helped them to understand the value of a long-term plan and the key issue of starting the planning process early. The oil industry provides outstanding careers and benefits and Paul emphasized to them the need to properly plan so that these benefits would be put to work in order to maximize the results. Kent and Kristin have benefited in many ways from CAS services. Because they both have careers, sufficient time for family and leisure activities is at a premium. Early-on CAS pointed out the benefits of letting a professional financial planning team take care of the England’s long term planning. Kent and Kristin saw the need to allow a professional guide their financial planning not only for financial success but also in order to give the busy couple more time in their personal and family life.
Kent and Kristin now live in West Houston and have two daughters. Emily will be a freshman at the University of Mississippi in the fall and Grace will be entering the third grade. The England’s dream is to build a house on a lot which they bought several years ago north of Telluride, Colorado. The breath taking scenery and wonderful mountain air are what Kristin learned to appreciate while growing up in Colorado and has longed to return to one day.
Kent and Kristin have benefited in many ways from CAS. One of the things CAS strives to do for their customers is to provide a network of professional services. Kent and Kristin now use CPA services recommended by CAS and have used banking services on their recommendation as well. The England’s enjoy and trust the relationship with CAS enough to have referred numerous additional clients to Paul and Kurt.
